Clear Guidelines for a Smooth Rental Experience
Read the Terms & Conditions about renting a car from our company
Our prices include:
- Third Party Insurance (Bodily injuries to third parties, Property damage to third parties, Property damage from an uninsured vehicle)
- CDW Insurance with excess amount that includes:
- Theft Insurance
- Fire Insurance
- Free pick-up and drop-off services at Heraklion Airport
- Unlimited Kms
- 24/7 Roadside Assistance
- 24-hour Telephone Service
- Free Road Map
- All taxes & V.A.T.
Required documents:
- Valid driver’s license for all declared drivers
- International driver’s license if required (please read the below paragraph “Driver’s License”)
- Passport or National ID for all declared drivers
- Credit Card or Debit Card in the driver’s name as a guarantee.
Warranty amounts – Security Deposit for all vehicles:
The security deposit amount depends on the chosen insurance package. When picking up the vehicle, the driver must have a credit or debit card, which will be used for the security deposit. The amount of the security deposit will be reserved from this card. This amount will no longer be available for immediate use on your card. This amount will be returned in full at the end of the rental as long as no other charges arise. The release time of the amount depends on the issuing bank of the card and not on our company. We release the security deposit amount immediately at the end of the rental.
Alternatively, cash can be used for the security deposit.
INSURANCES
Mixed insurance CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) with Excess Amount.
Our prices include CDW Insurance with excess amount depending on the car category:
- For car categories B, C, E excess amount 700 €
- For car categories C1, D, D1 excess amount 800 €
- For car categories F, F+, F1 excess amount 900 €
- For car categories E1, F2, F3, F4 excess amount 1.000 €
- For car categories G1, H, E2 excess amount 1.100 €
- For car categories E3, G2, G3, H1 excess amount 1.200 €
- For car categories H2, H3 excess amount 1.300 €
This insurance Limits the renter’s liability for damage to the car up to the excess amount.
This insurance package also include:
- Third Party Insurance (Bodily injuries to third parties, Property damage to third parties, Property damage from an uninsured vehicle)
- Theft Insurance and
- Fire Insurance
Extra insurance
Full Insurance F.D.W. (Full Damage Waiver) with zero (0) Excess RECOMMENDED:
The renter can be fully exempt from the aforementioned CDW excess amounts by purchasing an affordable daily insurance premium.
All the booking details (online or phone booking) must be valid. Our company declares the right to refuse the rental if the booking details are not valid.
Driver’s age:
Drivers must be between 21 & 75 years old. For groups E2, E3, F2, F3, F4, G2, G3, H2, H3 they must be 25 years old.
Driver’s License:
The driving license must be issued at least one year before the pick-up date.
National Driving Licenses issued in the E.U. are accepted.
Citizens of all other countries must have a valid International Driver’s License along with their regular Driver’s License.
Bookings and Vehicle Groups:
All reservations are based on vehicle groups and not on a specific vehicle model. We try to assign to each reservation the chosen vehicle model. However, if the chosen model becomes unavailable, our company reserves the right to offer a similar model. A similar model will be a vehicle in the same group – category as the chosen model. Also, our company reserves the right to offer a model of a bigger group – category with no extra charge (free upgrade).
Booking length, minimum rental charge:
The minimum booking length is a few hours, and the maximum is 30 days. According to the season, the availability, and the pick-up location, the minimum booking length may vary.
The minimum rental charge is one day.
If you wish to rent a vehicle for more than 30 days, please contact us for a quotation as the rental agreement must be renewed every 30 days.
If the renter wishes to keep the rental vehicle more from the agreed period, then the renter must contact us at least two days before the previously agreed vehicle return and request an extension. Based on availability, our company may or may not approve the extension. A rental extension will be valid only if the changes apply to the rental agreement.
Rental Extension:
If the renter wishes to extend the rental period, they must contact our company as soon as possible. If availability allows, the extension will be recorded in the Rental Agreement along with the corresponding charge.
If there is no availability, the renter must return the vehicle on the agreed date and time.
Payment Options:
Payment can be made when you pick up the vehicle with cash or credit, debit, or prepaid cards. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, Diners, Discover and American Express.
Cancellation Policy:
If you wish to cancel a reservation, the only acceptable method is by sending an email and receiving an email from our company that we have received the email you sent us.
If the cancellation of the reservation is made at least 3 days before the scheduled start of the rental of the vehicle, the full amount of the deposit will be refunded.
In the event of a cancellation received less than 3 days and up to 1 day before the scheduled start of the rental, there is a charge of 40% of the deposit.
No-Show Policy:
If the renter fails to collect the vehicle within 2 hours of the agreed rental start date and time without any written update, the reservation may be automatically canceled, and the total deposit amount will be charged.
Late Returns:
During the low and mid rental season, the delay for up to 2 hours will not be charged extra. During the high season maximum delay accepted without extra charges is 30 minutes. Beyond 30 minutes of delay, the customer will be charged an additional day of rental based on our company’s pricing policy during the high season.
Fuel Policy:
The renter has to return the vehicle with the same fuel level as delivered. If the renter returns the vehicle with less fuel level than was delivered, the renter will be charged the fuel difference plus a refueling service fee of 15 Euros. There is no refund if the renter returns the vehicle with more fuel level than was delivered.
Traffic fines or other administrative sanctions:
The renter must pay traffic fines, or any administrative sanctions may result from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law. The renter can pay the fines in cash or with a credit card. If any fine becomes required after the rental period, our company will charge the renter’s credit card the amount of the fine.
Accident:
In the event of a traffic accident, the renter must immediately notify our company and the police. The police will record the accident, and the renter should take photographs. The renter must provide our company with a copy of the police report.
Baby, Child & Booster Seats: We offer three types of car seats:
- Infant seat: 0 – 8 kg, up to 12 months (Basket)
- Baby seat: 8 – 18 kg
- Booster seat: 18 – 36 kg
Child seats are available upon request and subject to availability. The cost for all types of seats is 3 € per day.
Additional Drivers:
The first (main) driver is free of charge. If you require additional drivers, the cost is 3 € per day per driver.
GPS Navigation Device:
We offer modern GPS models with the latest map updates in Greek for easy destination finding. Save time with our service. The daily charge is 8 €.
Ferrying the car:
It is not allowed.
What is not covered by any insurance:
- Damages caused by a driver under the influence of drugs or alcohol
- Damages caused by an unauthorized driver.
- Damages in the interior of the vehicle
- Damages that were caused because the vehicle being illegally parked
- Damages due to traffic law violation.
- Damages due to inappropriate driving, negligence, or intentional.
- Damages to the engine by wrong fuel or negligence.
- Damages were caused because the vehicle was used off-road or in not appropriate roads (not paved roads, dirt roads, beaches, etc.).
- Damages that were caused after the agreed return time.
- Damage to the mirrors.
- Damages or loss of tires, rims, hubcaps.
- Damages to the underside of the vehicle.
- Damages or loss of the antenna
- Damages caused willfully or recklessly by the renter, e.g. (burning out the clutch, burning out the tires, sitting or standing on the bonnet, or the roof or the boot lid of the vehicle, etc.)
- If the renter at the time of the accident does not notify our company and the police
- Loss of personal items
- Loss, damage, or theft of vehicle keys
- Loss or damage of child seats, jack, safety triangle, spare wheel, petrol cap, or any accessories.
- Total or part theft, in cases where the theft was caused due to renter’s negligence. (e.g., forgot the engine keys on the vehicle, etc.)
- Traffic fines or other administrative sanctions may result from any violation of the Greek Traffic Law.
Obligations – Other terms:
The renter must pay attention to the vehicle by checking its mechanical condition, oil, water, etc. Also, the renter must check the condition of the tires and if the vehicle can move safely. The renter is responsible and is obligated to compensate the company for damages resulting from lack of attention. Also has to park and lock the vehicle properly in an appropriate and safe place.
During the rental period, the vehicle must not be used:
- In breach of the rental terms
- To carry passengers or goods on a fee
- To carry more passengers than allowed
- To carry heavy objects, smelly goods, or drugs
- To tow another car or trailer
- In any kind of races
- For any purpose that is against the Greek laws
- Outside of Crete with a written authorization of our company.
Vehicle Replacement:
If the vehicle becomes inoperable, our company will provide a replacement within a reasonable time frame. This timeframe depends on availability and the location where the vehicle breakdown occurred. If the vehicle becomes inoperable due to the renter’s fault or negligence, an additional charge will be applied to cover the cost of the replacement.
Important Information:
Before departure, you must inspect the vehicle and report any damage to the staff (to assist you better, it is a good idea to take photos or videos of the vehicle). Our company is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings. Our company reserves the right to cancel the rental agreement without consequences if the renter is deemed harmful to the interests of the company or violates either the traffic codes or the rental terms.
